What are the advantages of locking nuts?

Principle of anti loosening nut: The upper part of the conven‌tional 60 degree tooth tip has a 30 degree wedge surface. This structu↕re allows for increased friction between male and female threads, as well as subsequent fr♣iction between male and female threads. As the bolts are tightened with nuts,  they have a function of preventing loosening. There are four methods for preventin≤g loosening of anti loosening nuts: friction anti loosening, mechanical nut a→nti loosening, rivet anti loosening, and structural anti loosening.

What are the advantages of locking nuts?

  1. Anti vibration performance: When tightening the antγi loosening nut, the normal force generated is much greater than that of ordinary stand ard nuts, which has excellent anti loosening and anti vibration ≥performance.

  2. Good reusability: After long-term use, the locking force does not decrease, and even i∏f the locking nut is repeatedly tightened and disassembled, tβhe original locking effect can still be maintained.

  3. Strong wear resistance and shear resistance: ♦The bottom surface of the nut thread is tilted at 30 ° to evenly distribute the locking for≠ce of the nut on all threads on each tooth. Theref ore, the nut can better solve the problems of screw wear and shear deformation due to the un∏iform compression force on the thread surface of each tooth.

In addition, the locking nut requires a preset torque and requires a relative&ly large installation torque during installation. During this process, it is eas₩y to experience the phenomenon of "biting" o≈r "locking". If locked, it can only be resolved by cutti↔ng bolts and other damages. Before installation, pay attention to the lubrica÷tion of nuts (wax or other resin loosening agents) to reduce installation torque ∏and speed. This can effectively reduce the locking of the locking nut.
